Download Free Ringtone

Many web sites claim to offer free ringtones, and most of them are legitimate, but there are a couple of issues that seekers of free ringtones should keep in mind. First, some of these sites are either outright scams or at best disingenuous--They may have free ringtones, but they're only available if you buy something else or pay for a membership first. The second potential problem with free ringtones is that the purveyor may be using private material such as movie themes and popular songs without paying royalties to the rights holder.

Many sites may offer free ringtones without installing spyware or inundating visitors with ads, but they still may present a legal issue. Most popular music is protected by copyright law, and any use of the music, such as in free ringtones, requires that royalties be paid to the artist.

Alternatively, you could go to the webpage where you could download free ringtones to your cellular phone. Your cell phone has to be compatible for the download feature. On the ringtone page, you could select the make of your phone and the model number and series, and you could download free ringtone to cellular phone. Monophonic and Polyphonic ringtones are most sought after in ringtones.

Ringtones are the sound that a regular or cell phone makes when it’s rings. Early ring tones were simple chimes and on later models, a combination of chimes. Limited numbers of ringtones were available and mostly consisted of different patterns of tones or chirps. An example of one of the most infamous ringtones was the ominous” ring ring…ring ring” that is reminiscent of Todd Beamer’s last telephone call on 9/11. You can hear that ringtone featured as an intro to Neil Young’s famous song “Let’s Roll.”

So there you have it, what can you say about ringtones? It seems in today’s wireless world and with cutting edge technology, quite a.bit. Gone are the days where a single bell chime or as Lily Tomlin put it so well: “one ringy dingy, two ringy dingy” had to sound to get your attention. Today the choices are endless so shop around for what suits you best in your own unique ringtone. Stay in touch!

Samsung i730

The new crown for the world's fastest wireless PDA belongs to the Samsung i730, a sleek but somewhat frustrating gadget that's the first to mix Wi-Fi and high-speed, long-range EV-DO networking. Our initial impression of the device is quite positive, though we'll reserve our rating until our battery tests are complete and Samsung is given a chance to address our frustrations.

Sliding down the bottom half of the device reveals a keyboard that contains long, oval-shaped keys. It's far superior to the membrane keyboards on some other Pocket PCs, and is at least as usable as the Treo's. The 320-by-240 screen is gorgeous—rich, sharp, and viewable in sunlight.

The i730 is the best-looking Pocket PC phone yet. At 5.2 by 2.8 by 0.6 inches and 6.7 ounces, it's bigger than the palmOne Treo 650 but smaller than behemoth Pocket PCs like the Audiovox XV-6600, and it's slim enough to fit in your pocket. Side buttons control volume, voice recording, and voice dialing. They're easy to press, almost too easy, so it's good that there's also a key-lock switch on the side.

Samsung D900 is world's thinnest slider, gets ok'd by FCC

Another day, another Samsung product being touted as the "world's first" or "world's thinnest." Today, we turn to the SGH-D900, a phone that on the surface doesn't strike you as particularly different from many of its Samsung-made brethren, until you turn it on its side and realize that it is the "world's thinnest slider."

Heck, for my sake, the D800 is thin enough already, but you know Samsung and how they like to push the limit. After all, they already have the world's thinnest phone, a candybar, in the SGH-X820.

In any case, the D900 has even been given the go-ahead by the FCC, so while you may not be able to grab this phone from Catherine Zeta Jones and crew over at T Mobile anytime soon, you can always turn to the gray market and get it imported. Feature-wise, the Samsung SGH-D900 has got a QVGA display, 3.13 megapixel camera, 80MB of internal memory with microSD for expansion, and an integrated music player complete with A2DP Bluetooth support.

Polyphonic Ringtones

Polyphonic ringtones, as the name implies, employ various tones and sounds rather than just the simple one-tone typical ringtone. For instance, if you have polyphonic ringtones that are musical, you can have a drum or a bass line accompanying a melody or someone speaking while there is music playing. Polyphonic ringtones are more sophisticated and many believe that they are much more interesting than standard, monophonic ringtones. Contrary to popular belief, polyphonic ringtones are not necessarily more expensive; in fact, it is quite possible to find a good selection of free polyphonic ringtones.

One of the most popular choices for polyphonic ringtones is music. On free ringtone website, you can find a staggering variety of polyphonic ringtones in the music category. If you can imagine a musical style, it is available, from reggae to polka to Hindi music. Free ringtone downloads are so easy to obtain, that many people change their ringtones often because they enjoy so many different sounds. Whether you would like your own signature tune or to switch songs frequently, you can find great musical polyphonic ringtones on free sites.

Some enjoy more sophisticated ringtones, and polyphonic ringtones can accommodate a speaker's voice and music in the background. There are comic ringtones featuring, for instance, Austin Powers speaking with the comic theme song in the background or aliens saying "Earth to (your name) with the sound of a space ship zooming along." Many of these polyphonic ringtones are free, but it is not unusual to find some that cost a certain amount of money. However, the cost is usually very moderate, and with ringtones, you often get what you pay for.

It is possible to compose your own polyphonic ringtones; this is a particularly good idea if you are musically inclined and you can't find your favorite tune among ringtone selections. When you compose polyphonic ringtones, you will need more than just the keypad on your phone to plunk out a simple melody. You will want bass or other accompaniment, or perhaps a melody line. It is possible to design such a ringtone if you have the right equipment, or to record it and download it onto your phone.

If you are downloading a polyphonic ringtone from a site, you will need to fill out some simple information, such as you country (perhaps your address) and your cell phone number. The company will send the ringtone to your phone and you can use it immediately. If you are paying for a ringtone, you will need to fill in your credit card information. Always check to make sure that the company is a reputable one and not a shifty organization that is simply trying to get access to your phone or to your credit card information. Work along with friends as a team and take their recommendations if they have been successful. A company with a proven track record is unlikely to be a fraud.

Enjoy your polyphonic ringtones; searching for new and interesting ringtones can quickly become an enjoyable hobby, and you may want to download a new ringtone every week. You can be the life of the office or the party if people see you coming and wonder what new unusual sound will be emanating from your cell phone. You can make someone else's commute or wait in the post office more enjoyable with your polyphonic ringtone, and in your own way, you can improve the aesthetics of your environment by installing an elegant baroque melody or the sound of an exotic bird in its natural habitat. Whether your preferences are for humorous or beautiful ringtones, your polyphonic ringtone reflects your personality and style and enables you to leave your special mark wherever you go.

Get the latest cool ringtones

The list of entertaining ringtones spawns even to that of political icons. Imagine Tony Blair’s voice enumerating your cellular phone’s destructive prowess. How about George W. Bush reminding you of an incoming call? Or Prince Charles telling you politely that you have a call coming through? These political movers and shakers are here for one purpose- to take your calls. Beats voice mail, doesn’t it?

For the non-political minded, there are still bound to be some ringtones to tickle your funny bone. Ladies, what about a sexy male voice telling you how gorgeous you are? Or the leery construction-worker wolf whistle? For the boys, maybe a sultry Latina voice is more your style, or even the infectious yawning tone? You can even try to test if the ringtone actually transmits the yawn to the person next to you.

A ringtone is a sound file that is played by a cellular or a mobile phone. The purpose of ringtones is to give a unique ring to a cell phone so that it can be distinguished in an environment that has lots of cell phone users.

These ringtones are normally melodious in nature and are played to convey an incoming call or a message. They can be better personalized to suit ones tastes. Ringtones are the easiest way to personalize a cell phone. Many new cell phone models have features that allow users to create their own ringtones.

There are many companies that make and sell ringtones, generally through websites. The sale of ringtones has not only boosted the mobile phone sales but also the bottom lines of recording companies as a way earning of royalties.
